Category: Strategies for Outreach, Education, and Communication
Resource Type: PDF
Date Posted: 03/05/2011

This workshop introduced network science and the applications of social network analysis (SNA) to academic and scientific endeavors. Dr. Karen Stephenson, President of Netform International and consultant to Malcolm Gladwell, author of The Tipping Point, presented some network science basics and applications of SNA to academic and business settings. Participants had the opportunity to work in small groups to discuss how this new knowledge may impact their proposals, research projects, or career trajectories.
